FACULTY POSITIONS OPENING
Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Chiao Tung University invites applications for faculty positions at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Applicants with the expertise on mechanical design and manufacturing, energy or thermo-fluid science, and control and opto-mechatronics are particularly encouraged. The appointments are expected to start on February 1, 2016 or August 1, 2016. Applications will be evaluated soon when they are received; review will continue until the positions are filled. Applicants need to specify the area of interest in cover letter. All application materials will not be returned after the evaluation process.
Located in Taiwan’s Silicone Valley, Hsinchu Science Based Industrial Parks, National Chiao Tung University renowned for its technology innovations and is the premier choice for study and research in Taiwan. Currently the ME department has 31 faculty members with an enrollment of approximately 390 undergraduate students and 400 graduate (170 PhD) students.
Following documents should be included in the application package:
(1) Cover letter
(2) Resume with publication list;
(3) Selective publications (up to five publications, Ph.D. dissertation should be included for applicant receiving Ph.D. degree within five years);
(4) Research plan;
(5) Teaching plan, including courses could offer (mandatory and selective);
(6) Copy of Ph.D. certificate;
(7) Copy of academic transcript;
(8) One recommendation letter at least.
